Two members of the Car Scene International team attended this, what we hope will be, inaugural event, on Thursday evening 22nd September 2022. They both enjoyed drooling over the fantastic cars on display both in the concours and those prepared for the forthcoming auction, on Saturday 24th September.
The directors and staff of Classic Car Auctions had organised this event as a way of publicising Saturday’s Auction and to raise money for a very worthwhile cause – Macmillan Cancer Support.
The field adjacent to the Auction Showroom was filled with an eclectic mix of classic cars. And in the showroom itself was a stunning and varied selection of classic cars prepared for Saturday’s auction. This was indeed a fantastic evening of classic car appreciation.
There was food and drink vendors on-site and they appeared to be doing a roaring trade. Raffle tickets in aid of Macmillan were on sale with a very imaginative range of przes on offer, thanks to some very generous donors. Unfortunately, the two CSI representatives did not hold winning tickets but they were just happy to be part of a very successful evening. Thank you, CCA.
We received an email from CCA this morning saying that over £6,000 had been raised via donations, raffle ticket sales and the star prize auction. They expressed their thanks to “everyone who came along and donated towards helping Macmillan Cancer Support and make this a brilliant way to start our September Classic Car Sale!”.
