I have to confess that the main reason I visited this show was to see the reconditioned, pristine, cars on display, not necessarily the ones being restored. My days of lying under a car, spanner in hand and oil dripping on my face, are long over.
However, I greatly admire those intrepid individuals who take a seemingly totally abandoned and lost to humanity car and turn it into something better than it was when brand new.
So, although I went to the show thinking that I would only be interested in taking photos of wholesome classic cars, within about ten minutes of me being there I became totally absorbed by the ‘reconditioning’ aspect of the show. I think that this fact will be obvious from the following photos –
