On Friday 10th November I made my annual pilgrimage to the temporary cathedral dedicated to worshipping classic cars that is the Birmingham NEC. I have attended, religiously :-), for the past six years and in my opinion this was the best ever. Over this period I could be forgiven for thinking that “I have seen it all” but each year I encounter cars I have never seen before, and this year was certainly no exception. So many cars attracted my attention that there will have to be two parts to this report. In previous Classic Motor Shows at the NEC posts I have suggested that it is the friendliest show of its type. Attendees are so polite and courteous and the people manning the stands so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. What’s not to like?

My approach has always been to photograph rare and unusual cars when that I come across together with a few outstanding favourites. For no logical reason it seems that Morris cars caught my eye more than any other marque. Without more ado here are this year’s finds –
