An Evening of “Longbridge Legacies” at the British Motor Museum

The “Longbridge Legacies” event is a great opportunity to learn more about the history of the Longbridge Factory and its lasting impact. The event takes place on Tuesday, March 12th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Here are some highlights that might interest you:

• Celebrating the Factory’s Achievements: They’ll be showcasing the Longbridge Plant’s significant contributions to the automotive industry, from producing iconic vehicles like the Austin Seven and the Mini to shaping the engineering landscape.
• Impact on the Local Community: The event will explore how the factory played a major role in the lives of people around it, providing employment and fostering a sense of community.
• Herbert Austin’s Office: A key attraction is the reconstructed office of Herbert Austin, one of the founders of the factory. This offers a unique chance to see his workspace and learn more about the man who played a pivotal role in Longbridge’s legacy.

Tickets cost £18 each or £13 for Members. Premium Members can attend the event for just £7. As this event is outside regular Museum opening hours, Annual Passes are not valid.
