August 7th 1926 saw the first Grand Prix for cars held in Britain at the Brooklands racing circuit, organised by he Royal Automobile Club. It is fitting then that the organiser of the original race, the Royal Automobile Club, should be organising an event to celebrate it’s 100th anniversary.
The original pioneering event laid the foundations for Grand Prix racing in Britain and began a legacy of innovation, competition, and sporting excellence that continues to define the sport today.
