The world’s greatest historic motor race meeting, and the only sporting event of its kind to be staged entirely in a period theme. More than just an unrivalled weekend of historic racing, it is a whimsical step back in time; an immersive celebration of a less disposable world, where “make do and mend” was a way of life rather than a casual slogan.
The heart of the Revival is the racing, with priceless historic vehicles from the period up to 1966 going wheel to wheel around the famous West Sussex circuit. Highlights including the RAC TT Celebration for GT cars, the St. Mary’s Trophy for touring cars, the Glover Trophy for F1 models and the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy, featuring some of the rarest pre-1963 GT cars.
Unlike most other car festivals where visitors wear their everyday clothes, the Goodwood Revival has a dress code to enhance the event’s atmosphere.
Although it’s not compulsory, attendees are strongly encouraged to get into the revival spirit and wear period-inspired clothing from the 1940-60s.
Outfits can range from simple 1950s-style mechanic’s overalls or tweeds to high fashion from the 1960s’ catwalks, military uniforms or Marlon Brando-inspired biker get-up.
