The Historic Marathon Rally Group is hosting an event on Sunday, April 21st, 2024 at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1974 UDT London-Sahara-Munich World Cup Rally.
Highlights of the Event:
- Reunion of Cars and Crews: Cars from the 1974 rally will be on display, including some still owned by their original drivers!
- Rally Cars from Other Eras: The event will also feature cars from other significant rallies, showcasing the evolution of endurance racing.
- Interviews and Discussions: Hear interviews with those who participated in the 1974 rally, including a pre-recorded chat with Jim Reddiex, the sole surviving member of the winning Citroen DS team.
- International Audience: Visitors are expected from both the UK and Europe.
- Rally Memorabilia: See a collection of interesting items from the 1974 rally competitors.
- Additional Rally Cars: More classic rally cars will be on display as part of the anniversary celebration.
