“How time flies” is a common expression but very appropriate when applied to the Rootes Heritage Day. The 2026 event will be its fifth, truly amazing! Organised by the Rootes Archive Centre Trust (RACT), once again it will be held in the car park of the British Motor Museum, Gaydon. It presents an excellent opportunity to celebrate Classic Rootes Group vehicles e.g. Hillmans, Humbers, Singers and Sunbeams together with Commer and Dodge commercials. It is always a great pleasure to see pre Rootes Group versions of Wolverhampton built Sunbeams and London built Talbots. There are always examples of Chrysler Europe cars including Matra Bagheeras, Murenas, and Ranchos.
