No summer is complete without taking in a concours event, strolling lazily around an emerald lawn surrounded by hand-picked classic cars. If you live in the Netherlands, Belgium or any of the surrounding countries, your time would be well spent at Wheels at the Palace. This event, takes place at Soestdijk Palace, a majestic former residence of the Dutch royal family in Baarn, just half an hour by car from Amsterdam.
One of the highlights of this event is the Pre-War Sprint, staged in collaboration with the Dutch Vintage Sports Car Club. The organisers themselves say, “this is the most spectacular part of Wheels at the Palace”. This lively competition is open to all D.V.S.C.C. members with a pre-1940 car.
