DESCRIPTION:The MG Club de France has decided that its annual MG Days event should be designated as its major celebration of MG’s Centenary. All MG enthusiasts\, members or non members of the MGCF\, in France and “outre mer”\, are invited to join what is hoped to be a large international MG gathering at Épernay. Épernay is best known as the principal trading centre for champagne wines\, which are bottled and kept in large cellars built into the chalk rock on which the town is built.\nThe objective of this event is to bring together around 300 MGs representing the history of the marque. SUMMARY:MG Centenary Celebrations - MG Garages Showroom Event
DESCRIPTION:Morris Garages Showroom\, Queens Street\, Oxford. Photo courtesy of the MG Car Club \n  \nThe MG Car Club is organising a Celebration of the sale of the first MG\, by Morris Garages\, from their original Queen Street premises in Oxford.\nThis will take place in Bonn Square at the west end of Queen Street in Oxford\, close to the original Morris Garages showroom (it’s actually opposite Marks & Spencers). 1st June 1923\, is believed to be the actual day the first Raworth car left the showroom 100 years ago. There will be a small display of cars and the occasion will be a media opportunity first and foremost to focus on the MG marque’s history\, although it may be possible there will be walking tours of MG locations in Oxford.
