The MG100 Not Out event was held on Sunday 10th September 2023. It will probably be the last one, celebrating the centenary of the founding of the MG Car Company, to be held in the U.K. The venue, Abingdon Vale Cricket Club, could not have been more appropriate seeing as the historic town of Abingdon became home to the first MG production line and later on to the world-famous BMC Competitions Department. It was very fitting that there were also a good number of Austin Healeys on display, given that they also were built at MG’s Abingdon factory.
It seemed that the theme of the day was displays of MG models, across the ages, by various MG Owners Clubs, overseen by the MG Car Club.
If there had been a competition for the best ‘Club Display’, the CSI vote would have gone to the ‘MG Oxfordshire Owners Club‘. The way that the cars were displayed, through the ages, with excellent display cards for each car, was what you might expect to see at a top Motor Museum. Well done to all concerned.
So, we will start off with photographs of the cars from that display –

In all, it was one of those days that I was pleased to say “I was there”.
