We have been hosting Middleton Motor Monthly on the Events section of the carsceneinternational.com website since the beginning of the year but today was the first time that one of us could actually attend one of the meetings.
And what a worthwhile trip it was. I couldn’t have imagined encountering such an eclectic mix of cars, some fairly ordinary and some truly exotic. We were blessed with good weather, always an important factor in any outdoor event held in England. Middleton Hall and Gardens is a perfect setting for this show.
If you want a break from viewing the cars and talking to their interesting owners, then you can indulge in a little bit of history and culture by visiting the Hall it self. Or, you can stroll around the gardens, as my wife did, it’s all in the ticket price.
So, let’s have a look at some of the cars that were on display.
At first I wondered why there were more Reliant cars in attendance than one normally sees at these kind of events. Then the penny dropped, we were only a few miles outside the Town of Tamworth where the Reliant Motor Company was based.
Paying due respect to that fact we will start with the Reliants that were present today.
