DESCRIPTION:2023 will see the celebration of one hundred years since the first 24 Hours of Le Mans race. This is a car race that attracts a following of millions around the world and whose popularity has remained intact throughout that time.\nThis gruelling test of man and machine boasts a rich heritage. Thanks to its pioneering spirit\, the race has always been a step ahead of the future\, sparking innovation and audacity throughout the automotive world. The latest manifestation of that spirit is the creation of the Le Mans Hypercar category. The Hypercar regulations were created jointly by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) as a successor to the Le Mans Prototype 1 (LMP1) from the 2021 season onwards.\nMajor manufacturers Ferrari\, Porsche\, Audi\, Peugeot\, Toyota and Glickenhaus are already gearing up for the centenary race\, which is set to be historic in more ways than one.\nEndurance racing\, the discipline that drives the ACO\, is entering a new era. Enthused by the new rulebook\, the entrants referred to above have thrown their hats into the ring\, eager to be part of the centenary Le Mans 24 Hours. This anniversary is a unique opportunity to pay tribute to the race’s founding fathers and to all those for whom this event represents a dream\, a goal\, a livelihood or a lifestyle.
