In the late 1980’s the company followed family roots to North Yorkshire and established a couple of car sales agencies in the area. \nDerek Mathewson\, the founder of the business\, has always had an interest in classic cars and motor bikes and started his own collection from an early age. This collection\, which is continually being added to\, forms the basis of the Museum at the Thornton Le Dale Premises. This location is were the famous auctions also take place. \nIn recent years the Classic & Vintage side of the business\, instead of being something of a sideline\, has now become the main focus. They embarked on the auction venture in 2011 and haven’t looked back since.
