DESCRIPTION:R M Sotherby’s has been retained to auction the renowned ‘Guyton Collection’ of sixty outstanding automobiles and hundreds of items of automobilia. The late Mr. Fred Guyton\, of the Architectural business\, Peckham Guyton Albers & Viets\, Inc.\, collected these vehicles\, historic documents and artefacts over many decades. \nGuyton served on regional and national boards of a number of car clubs\, most notably\, the Classic Car Club of America and the Classic Car Club Museum. Nothing delighted him more than responding to requests to provide a special car for an exhibition or show. His cars took many honors at the Easter Concours d’Elegance at Forest Park in St. Louis. This\, in addition to making a notable contribution to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance\, helping to establish it as one of best events of its ype in the World. \nThe auction\, which will be held at the Collection site in St. Louis\, Missouri\, will be held on the 4th – 5th May. \nOf particular interest to me is the fact that the Collection contains a very rare Jensen H Type Tourer\, That is why I have used a photo of that car as the ‘featured image’ for this event. \nPrivacy Policy\nThe purpose of this webpage is to provide information on a Classic Car auction and refers to material which is in the Public Domain.
