Sunday 16th August saw one of the best Warwick Classic Car & Bike Shows ever, i.m.o. The Market Square and adjacent streets were packed with visitors who had tuned up to admire the many sutnning classic cars being displayed by their justifiably proud owners. It was one of the best displays I have seen in recent years, with a good number of cars I hadn’t seen before. A huge thank you to all the owners who brought their cars and bikes along to this increasingly popular event. The bigest thanks of all goes to the members of the Warwick Court Leet and the volunteers for organising and marshalling the event. Here are some of the cars and bikes that particularly caught my eye –

1955 Austin Healey 100 fited with ”Le Mans’ (M) kit. There were 640 AH 100 BN 2s fitted with the ‘Le Mans’ performance kit at the the factory. These cars were designate 100 M with an ‘M’ added to the “100” grill mouted badge. Only those original 640 cars can be properly referred to as AH 100 Ms. The kit was made available for dealers or owners to modify AH100s, both BN1s and BN2s. Such cars can be referred to as         AH 100 ‘Le Man’s’ denoting that they have been fitted with a factory sourced “retro fit” (P 280 ) kit. This car is one of those around 500 cars.
