The title of this blog really came into its own today, at least the serendipity part did. I was on the return leg of my Sunday morning jog along the leafy lanes that surround Balsall Common, when, on Balsall Road East, on the opposite side from St. Peters Church, I saw several vintage cars parked on the road. My heart rate went up another notch at this sight. I knew that I must take some photos. My first thought was to continue on my run to home; collect my camera and return to take the photos. I reasoned that the risk of doing this was for the cars to have moved off before I returned.
Fortunately I had my mobile phone with me, this is equipped with a pretty good camera so I used this to take the photos shown below. This blog is ‘work in progress’, when I find more time I will do some research on each of the models photographed and publish it here. In the meantime enjoy the site of these lovely cars of yesteryear as I did this morning. |
