Once again, the Burford House Classic Car Show, held in the grounds of one of the British Garden Centres most prestigious locations, excelled in the range and quality of the cars on display. They were all a credit to their owners who, as you might expect, were full of enthusiasm, knowledge and a desire to explain all in a friendly manner. In this regard I pay tribute to the lady owner of the Volvo P1800 who was prepared to pose on the bonnet of her car for my photos; that was until we both reminded ourselves that it was so “1970s” and probably not PC in this era, together with the fact that I am not David Bailey or Patrick Lichfield
I must also say what a delight the ‘Got 2 Sing’ Choir was, spurred into reaching the highest and most difficult notes by their charismatic conductor. Frankly, their renditions tweaked my soul; hence the term “Soul Music”!
